Dr. Jeff LaPlume is a board-certified optometric physician practicing locally for over 30 years. Originally from Worcester, MA he graduated from Largo High school and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and pre-medical studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He did his doctoral studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1992 graduating with honors. He was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and completed externships at Fort Carson Evans Army Hospital in Colorado Springs and The Eye Foundation in Orlando.
Dr. David Anderson recently joined the practice relocating from St. Louis, MO. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in Biology and Chemistry then completed his Doctoral training at the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry where he received several awards in superior clinical care. Externships were completed at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in Kansas City, MO and at the Eye Institute of West Florida right here in Largo. Dr. Anderson has extensive experience fitting specialty contact lenses especially scleral designs.
